The Wabasso School is a Special Education public school that serves 80 students in grades PK-12. Built in 1925, historic Wabasso School is the only school in the Indian River County School District, that is located directly on US1. Nestled among orange groves on 8 acres, this school provides a peaceful setting for students and faculty alike. Among other amenities, Wabasso School boasts an outdoor gazebo classroom, for a natural learning environment, a heated therapeutic pool, and an occupational/physical therapy room.
The Wabasso students provide their Christmas wish list and the Lodge buys presents. Members meet at the Lodge on Tuesday, Dec 16 at a time TBD to wrap the presents. We then attend the Christmas Party at the school as Santa delivers the gifts.
