Those who watched or participated in the 6th Annual Indian River County St. Patrick’s Day Parade were treated to a new, and hopefully regular, participant–Elroy the Elk.
The Elroy costume is primarily used as part of the Elks’ Drug Awareness Program, but Irish Parade Committee Chairman Jack Houlihan wanted a little something extra to make the event a memorable occasion…so Jack enlisted Elroy to ride in a golf cart in the parade while his loyal assistants handed out drug awareness packets to youth along the parade route.
