It would be appreciated if you can help out. If we get enough volunteers it will not take a great deal of time.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The Space Coast Honor Flight hub out of Melbourne does seven trips a year. If you have an interest you’re more than welcome to attend one of their early morning sendoffs, which have evolved into a really neat, special program.
They, of course, are always recruiting new WWII vets to make the flight, and have been including Korean vets now as well. So please pass the word as they’ve taken a number of vets from Indian River County.
One of our members, Phil Weiler, is very active in this unique program. If you know of any eligible vets or want to participate yourself, please contact Phil at 973-919-5462 or prwvero@comcast.net. Here’s a trifold brochure that describes the program.
Check out their website at http://www.spacecoasthonorflight.org/.

November 11th was a great night at the Lodge. The Presentation of Colors by the Vietnam Vets and the Marines was precise touching and beautiful. We served 304 people, of which 164 were Veterans, a delicious spaghetti and meatball dinner prepared by Rose & Ray and their team.
A special presentation was held for our own 9 World War II Veteran/Members. Sue Barstow, a nurse (dressed as a WWII nurse) escorted the gentlemen to the podium and presented them with a hat that read “If you love your freedom, thank a Vet”.
We danced the night away with music by Johnny Nick, who donated his talent in honor of all Veterans.
