Vero Beach Elks #1774

What better way to show your support for the Lodge or  to promote your Irish heritage than to march in the 6th Annual Indian River County St. Patrick’s Day Parade?

When: Saturday, March 7 at 12:00 noon.

Where: Assemble at the Vero Beach High School parking lot east of the football field.

What to wear: Green golf shirts, preferably Elks shirts with the Parade logo shown here with khaki pants or shorts.

Note: The Parade shirts are available from Southern Embroidery, 790 15th Place, off US 1 (behind Sifford’s Gas Station), in Vero Beach. Phone 772-567-8337.

If you can’t march in the parade you may watch it along 14th Ave.  Don’t forget to enjoy the Post Parade Open House at the Lodge.

 

 

Back in November, 2014 we announced that the Lodge was awarded a $10,000 Impact Grant from the Elks National Foundation for our community outreach program in support of Vero Beach Elementary School. The time has finally come for the Elks to take action by staffing the Elks Love Kids of Character Store at Vero Beach Elementary School from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the following dates:

• Monday, Mar. 23
• Friday, Apr. 24
• Monday, Apr. 27
• Friday, May 29
• Monday, Jun 1

We have confirmation from the press that they will be at the Lodge on Thursday, February 5 at noon to have a photo shoot, one for Luminaries and another for the Vero Beach Newsweekly.

Want to be in the newspaper? We ask all Lodge members to join the St. Patrick’s Parade Events Committee and come out to the picture shoot on Feb 5th with green attire .
